That's a weight loss of 1.0 lbs this week. I know my goal was to be under 150 but at the rate I seem to be losing I should be there by next Friday.
I really have settled into the BFC way of eating (lifestyle) and love all the food choices that I have each day. Honestly, I really enjoy lunch time now because I am stocked up with lots of meats, cheeses, veggies, hummus, nuts, seeds, olives, rice cakes, pita bread, english muffins, eggs, almond butter, and some other items and I just mix and match to stay within the recommended 5/2 guideline per meal.
With that said, here is what I ate yesterday:
Breakfast: My morning shake; green tea
Snack: 3 Low-sugar/low carb cookies
I tinkered with a No-Bake Cookie recipe and made a peanut butter, chocolate, coconut one that I really liked. I used Spirutein Vanilla Protien Powder to sweeten then and then only needed to add 1 tsp. of stevia. When I ate them, I topped them with a small amount of Redi-Whip. I thought they were yummy. I'll post a picture and the recipe next week.
Lunch: Roast beef, provolone cheese, salami, hummus with celery and crackers, blackberries
Dinner: Low-carb meatballs with zucchini ribbons and alfredo sauce
I got the idea from this post of Amber's and made this meatball recipe. However, rather than using 1/2 beef, and 1/2 pork, I used 2 lbs of ground beef (about 907 grams) beacuse that's all I had.
My husband and I are headed out of town today to celebrate our 16th Wedding Anniversary. My parents are watching our kids. We live about an hour from Denver so that's where we're going. This is only the 3rd time that we've been away for a night since we got married. It's not like my parents, my in-laws, and my sister, haven't offered. It's just that, with having 5 kids, the majority of the time I was either pregnant, or nursing, and that made getting away a little harder. Love the time we get to spend together - just the two of us.
I'll leave you with some of my favorite pictures from our Wedding Day - June 1st, 1996:
I wore my mother's wedding dress and truly felt like a princess all day! |
Me and my girls (my cousin, her daughter, my lifelong friend, and my sister) |
Me and my family |
Look at that handsome guy!! |
The guys (Mike, his brother, two of his good friends, and his father) |
My husband and his family |
I always love reminiscing and looking at these. See ya'll on Monday ~ Have a great weekend!! :)
Oh my gosh! Those are beautiful wedding pictures. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend together. Congratulations on both your anniversary and your weight loss.

DeleteCongrats Kim! I say any move in the right direction is great (although we all want it to hurry along) :) I lost this week too - I'm going to post today. We didn't do much for our anniversary this year since we are considering a major backyard landscape (saving our pennies). You have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to following you next week :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Trina! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks Beth! Still shooting for the 140's for this Friday. :)
DeleteHappy Anniversary Kim! I lived in Denver for many, many years and still love it there! You should totally go to Larimer Square, get coffee and the Market. Bistro Vendome tucked into a side courtyard is my favorite restaurant too and there is a jazz place for dinner - DARN! I hope you read this before you leave there. Have a great time either way, the photos are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Amber :)
DeleteWe love Larimer Square too - so pretty at night with all the lights and shops. We usually take the kids with us but my parents offered to watch them this time, as well as this past March, so we could go by ourselves.
I didn't get this message until we got home, BUT, the funniest thing is that we were thinking of having brunch at Bistro Vendome but then went to "Snooze" instead. We decided that the next time we go down for dinner we will eat there - the courtyard is so beautiful with all the lights at night.
This past March when we went, we had lunch at Bayou Bob's, went shopping on Larimer Square, had appetizers and a glass of wine during happy hour at Willie G's, saw the movie "The Vow", and took a carriage ride. Both times have been equally fun! We hope to go back for a night again this fall. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. Where is the jazz place?
I did the opposite...I moved from California to Colorado. Moved to Fort Collins to attend CSU in 1988 and lived in Ft. Collins for 16 years. Then we moved to Windsor in 2004 so we could get a little land since it was less expensive here. But we're only one town over from Ft. Collins so were there alot. If you ever come back to Colorado to visit - let me know! Have a great day Amber! :)
Ive never been to Snooze, but my friends love it. I miss Bistro Vendome, but it was a carbfest for sure! We still own a home there, so we go back probably once year. Ill let you know when we are back!
