New Blog Title & My Boys' Bedroom

Hi Friends,

I wanted to give you a heads up that I've changed the name of my blog.... for now.... but beware because it may change again :).  The new name is: Kim Applebee: Living a Grateful Life Filled with Faith, Family, Friends. Food, Fitness & Fun.

I wanted it to better describe what I post about.  I don't want to mislead anyone that the entire blog is about the BFC, although I do still love the BFC way of eating and plan to continue to include it in some of my future posts.

I will probably change the web address but don't want to do that now for fear of messing up the links that you all already have to it.  I will figure that one out later and let you know beforehand when it happens.

Since I hate to post without a photo, I'm going to share some photos of my three boys' bedroom.  This past Monday, my son and I took the bunkbed down and re-arranged the room so that all three beds could be on the ground. I like to talk to my boys before bed and rub their backs but I don't like climbing up on the bunkbed.... kind of afraid it will fall on the 7-year old below :)

It's a little tight with three beds and two dressers but it works because they don't really play in their rooms much.  They usually lay on their beds and read, listen to music, or play their electronic games.  The toys are all kept on the main floor or in the basement to keep the clutter in the rooms to a minimum.  We plan to paint their room in the next few weeks so I'll post some photos when we're done and show you the finished product.  We have a finished basement but I'm not ready to send any of them down there yet (although they'd love it). I love the view their room has of the mountains.... so bright and cheery.  And, they actually all made their beds this morning!  There was a little bribe involved with that but I'll save that for another post :)

I am so grateful for the network of friends that I have made through blogging. Thanks for reading and get ready for some exciting new posts regarding all of the items in my blog description :)

Love ya,

  1. I LOVE the name:) Seeing the 3 beds makes me nostalgic! It's funny because they "think" they want to be away from their brothers in another room, but they will be lonely and visiting their brothers all the time!
The view from your home is just gorgeous and I love when you post pictures!
Doesn't it feel good to feel good?!!

  2. Love the name and I don't know how you got them to make their beds?? The room looks great and the view. Have a great day :-)

  3. Wow those are some nicely made beds! I'm lucky if mine get all the wrinkles out, so I'm happy enough if the blankets make it all stretched out. :)

  4. I understand what you mean about changing the name of your blog, I feel the same way about the bfc right now, I still love it and apply what I learned but I am no longer strictly following it. Have a wonderful day :)

  5. I like the room. That's the way I used to do it when my boys were young, the bedrooms were for sleeping, reading etc and we had a playroom for all the toys, and physical activities.
I like the your blogs new name, but make sure you let us know if you change your url!!

I think I might give the "Eat Clean" program a try. Going to download the book to my Kindle tonight. I'm not sure how to PM you but my email is on my blog profile.

  6. I remember when my boys had bunk beds too. It's also a pain to change the sheets, so much easier when they are on the ground. Love the new blog post name. I think we all have evolved and changed some. Our basic belly fat cure principles still apply, so we are all headed for the same goal. I really cherish our blog friendships too. It keeps my going and gets me back on track when I slip and fall...which is often!! XO!!

  7. I like the content of this blog. nice information..
